I chose the form light because it is literally everywhere in our everyday lifes. Light can be captured basically anywhere and you can create really amazing photograhs with the right source of light.

In this image I can see what it looks like to be some sort of event or celebration happening. I think it’s 4th of July. Everyone is in a big huddle/crowd with sparklers and fireworks. The photo is quite blurred so we don’t know who the people are or what they are doing, but it looks like there’ are lots of adults there and a few kids. They all look like they’re enjoying themselves even though the picture is blurry. They’re surrounded by what looks like blocks of flats/apartments and there’s a big open area in the middle so that’s what I think they are standing in.
This picture is a blurred image with lots of light in the centre of the photo because that’s where the child is standing with the lit sparkler. This photo is unusual/ confusing because it could be a memory you can look back on but if the image is blurred how are you going to remember what happened or who was present when the photo was taken? In street photography you can clearly see what you are photographing. In this image you can’t, so it makes the image quiet featureless.
I think Ming Smith created this image by focusing mainly on the sparkler but also on the background light. She obviously shook whatever she took the image on. If I took this image I would probably take it on a phone because you can blur the image faster and probably better and focus on the image more but you could also use Photoshop or an app and stretch the original image and hopefully get a blurry outcome.
This image doesn’t really make me feel anything because there’s nothing exciting about it but there is some happiness because it’s a happy event. The image doesn’t give me any strong feelings. In this image I enjoy how colourful and the how the light reflects in the image. I also dislike how you can’t really see anything like anyone’s faces or see what’s really going on. You can’t work out what’s going on in the image.
I would ask Smith the following questions:
After conducting research about Ming Smith, I know more about her creativity for unusual aspects.

I would ask Smith the following questions:
- Why did you make the image so blurry?
- Why did you take a picture of that certain group of people?
- Why did you focus you image on light?

Photo Shoot
What inspired me about the images were the colours. Even though it’s quiet a blurry picture I still liked how the colours came through in the image so I decided to add a blurry picture into my selection of images. Also I like how all my pictures have some sort of even vibe like the picture I described.

Each image has a different event behind them and how they related to each other but also has differences.
EBI:
It would have been better if I had Photoshop to make them more unusual for example made the picture of my cousin in the face mask a different colour or gave it a better effect.
