The Birth of Self-Portraiture.
Many other art critic say that it was the Renaissance that brought about the birth of self-portraiture. This is supported by the concept of Individualism, which was born during the Renaissance in the year 1500 AD. This was a turn to being an individual in society and looking at yourself as your own person. It was also around this time that the art of creating mirrors was perfected, making it even easier for people to physically see themselves clearly. Mirrors became a useful tool for artists and saw the rise in the creation of self-portraits. |
This is my favourite image because it’s unusual and I like they way the artist has played each photo. Also I like the colour he used it brings out more of an effect.

The Birth of a Selfie
The first selfie (referred to as a self-portrait at the time) has been credited to Robert Cornelius in 1839. Cornelius credited as one of the American pioneers of photography produced a daguerreotyped of himself... Once the daguerreotype was processed he wrote, The first light picture even taken 1839 on the back. |
This is my favourite image because I love the colours that are used in this photo and that it’s a bright photo and not a dull colour in sight ,also I like how the flowers aren’t big and exaggerated there nice little ones.

Reflective/Mirror Selfie.
My Favourite.
My favourite picture.
This is my favourite picture because I like the way everything inside of the viewfinder has straight edges except from the trees. Also I like how the colour of the grass looks so green and vibrant. Furthermore I like how all the windows on the building look like a sculpture. I especially like how the lighting isn't too dark or isn't too light but its kind of dull bringing out the colour in the grass.
WWW: It is a very popping picture and its so clear and nice.
EBI: the trees would fit in more and if they was a different tone of green.
